“Women balancing career and family responsibilities often struggle to find time to consider their own needs, especially for the future,” said Gina Lampley, Connections Chapter President of AMBA San Antonio. “In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we wanted to offer the women of our community a chance to pause and receive guidance and encouragement from experts to help them stay or get healthy.”
Sapient Financial Group was recently named the special-award winner for career opportunities in the San Antonio Express News 2009 Top Workplace report. The firm also ranked #2 in the small company List of 2009 Top Workplaces.
“According to a recent study(1), adopting certain healthy behaviors can reduce the chance of getting a serious illness by as much as 78%, said Dr. Dornbluth. The news that prevention works is too good to ignore! It’s important that women in our community know what the healthy behaviors are and receive encouragement to adopt them.”
“Now more than ever, women are responsible for making significant financial decisions for themselves and their family members. But many don’t feel they have the knowledge or the confidence they need,” said Diana Scheel. “We will discuss the unique financial issues women face and introduce possible strategies to help create financial independence”.
