Charles Matt (pronounced Mott), a native of South Louisiana, graduated from St. Joseph Seminary College, where he considered a vocation to the priesthood. He completed graduate studies in theology and philosophy at the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium). He has worked as a Director of Religious Education in Germany and as a Director of Pastoral Counseling in New Orleans. He teaches philosophy and theology on an adjunct basis.

Charles moved to San Antonio in 1992 and went into business shortly thereafter. For sixteen years he has brought his unique background and experience as a teacher and counselor to his work as a financial advisor. His practice is built around long-term relationships with clients whom he assists in making wise decisions so that their financial needs, concerns, and goals are met. Charles' business partner is his long-time friend, Elizabeth Moss CLU, ChFC, CFS, CLTC, who has twenty-six years experience as a financial advisor. Together they have a firm commitment to the very highest ethical standards.

Charles has served on the board of the San Antonio Business & Economics Society and is the President of the Planned Giving Council of San Antonio. He is the proud father of twin teenage boys. The three of them are active in Boy Scouts and in their church.
